Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah is an Indian actress, playback performer and musician, who is mostly in Tamil as well as Malayalam movies that are based on the Tamil language. Annayum Raolum is her Malayalam and Tamil debut. Her debut was in Tamil alongside Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea Jeremiah has been identified as an Anglo-Indian born at Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Her father works as an attorney in the Madras High Court. Her older sister is currently working and living in Leuven Belgium working as a Research Assistant. Jeremiah hails originally from Chennai. She went to National Public School, and later graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea was able to begin studying piano when she was eight. She was an avid geek who wanted to become a psychiatrist. In her twenties, she became a part of a group called the Jackson Five Young Stars which formed the foundation of her performing and music composition career. She worked as a stage performer at her college and was a part of in several productions through The Madras Players, EVAM and other theatre groups. Andrea was the president of the Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea's theatre career began with Girishkarnad's Nagamandala. Her 2006 role in the new leo Coffee advertisement included Shiva. She also acted as a character in Podhigai's series. She has performed in a variety of roles across India. She had a small role for the Kanda Mudhal final (2005). Gautham Vaisudev Menon was able to have her sing in Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu and then wanted her to take on in the role of a female lead on Pachaikili Muthucharam. The film was an adaptation of James Siegel's novel Derailed with Andrea as Kalyani who is a housewife whose husband engages in an affair, and then is threatened with blackmail. Andrea was selected for the part following Simran and Tabu were two actors who were contacted by the producers. This film released in early 2010 In 2011, she accepted for a role as Venkat Prabhu was in Mankatha. The film came out on the 11th of August, 2011. Annayum Rasoolum from Rajeeev Ravi the romantic comedy film that she debuted in Malayalam with was released on the 11th of August, 2013.
