Julia Ormond

JuliaOrmond was the daughter Josephine Lab technician as well as John Ormond (a stockbroker) from Epsom, Surrey. She is the second child of five children to her parents. Her first performances in Guys and Dolls and My Fair Lady attracted attention. Then she attended Cranleigh School and Guildford High School. After a short time in art school, she was transferred to Webber-Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art which she completed in 1988. Ormond first made an appearance on British TV in the series Traffik which focused on the illegal heroin trade that flows from the far East to the streets of Europe. Ormond played the heroin addicted daughter of the main character a Home Office minister who was engaged in fighting the importation of heroin. The role was a hit and received overwhelmingly positive reviews.
